Cancer Support Community’s mission is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.

We fulfill this mission by offering a variety of educational workshops, yoga and other wellness classes, therapist led support groups and social activities specifically for those dealing with a cancer diagnosis and their families.

Cancer Support Community exists because no one should face cancer alone. Read below for the upcoming special workshops and events. Be an active member of our community.

MYSTERY BENEFACTOR LEAVES SURPRISE ARTWORK AT CSC FOR PARTICIPANTS TO ENJOY
On Monday morning, September 30, staff, volunteers and participants at CSCVVSB were treated to a wonderful sight as they approached the building. Dozens of beautifully painted rocks adorned the flower beds, sidewalks, and planters surrounding the entrance.

A closer look soon showed that the rocks were decorated with flowers, animals, pink ribbons, and uplifting messages in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. What's more, there was a small sign among these small but mighty art pieces, naming them Breast Cancer Warrior Rocks, and encouraging people to take a rock for themselves and/or to rehide somewhere to increase breast cancer awareness.

Staff and volunteers asked everyone they could think of to find out who left the rocks, but nobody had any idea! It truly was a selfless, anonymous gesture! If you haven't stopped by the center in the last couple of weeks, please come by and admire this beautiful display, then find a rock to take and keep...or pass it on in honor of all the breast cancer warriors in the past, present, and future.
ASK THE EXPERT: HOW PHYSICAL THERAPY COULD HELP EASE CANCER TREATMENT, WITH DR. GINA MEYER
Cancer has affected almost all of us in one way or another. Whether we have been diagnosed, have had a family member or friend diagnosed, or even lost one or multiple loved ones, it is widely known: being diagnosed with cancer can be devastating, and treatment can be brutal. It breaks my heart to share that I’ve lost multiple family members and dear friends to cancer.

My passion for helping cancer patients during treatment and beyond through physical therapy runs deep. Please take a moment to read this short article about how physical therapy can help and consider attending my upcoming seminar at Cancer Support Community. Read More...

THANK YOU FOR JOINING US FOR OUR ANNUAL
PAINT THE TOWN PINK FUNDRAISER
We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out to The Oaks Shopping Center last Tuesday, October 1 for the annual Paint the Town Pink event! The area was beautifully decorated and featured tasty food and drinks, interesting vendors, and a wonderful silent auction for all to enjoy!

As special thank you goes to the volunteers who helped out that evening and before to make the event a fun and fabulous evening for all. Especially, we want to thank The Oaks Shopping Center and Los Robles Health Services for once again putting on an amazing event to help raise funds for Cancer Support Community VVSB programs. Thanks to your efforts, CSCVVSB is able to provide professional psychosocial programs and support free of charge for those dealing with cancer in our community.
