ANNOUNCEMENTS UPCOMING ACTIVITIES WITH SOCIAL OUTREACH COMMITTEE –

CANDLEWOOD LUNCHES  Our congregation will be serving lunches at Candlewood this upcoming week, Monday July 30 - Friday August 3. Lunches start at 11:15am, if you have signed up to help please come a half hour early to help set up. If you need a ride or you can come early to the church to help load up supplies for transporting, please call Marilyn Feigl at 217-586-5078.

FREEZER Dale and Lois Tharp have a small, upright, 6 1/2 foot freezer, counter height tall. It has one shelf and a basket. And it works! They no longer need it, if you are interested please contact them.

MAHOMET HELPING HANDS LETTER To New Beginnings Lutheran Church,  We are extremely appreciative of your support of our community food pantry, Mahomet Helping Hands. Thank you to the volunteers from your church who worked at the July donation and giveaway Saturdays. We are grateful for all the ways you help us throughout the year to continue serving those in need.  Sincerely, Mahomet Helping Hands

SUMMER MOVIE AND COOK OUT - Rally Sunday is coming on Sept 9. We will have movies for adults and kids after a congregational cook out. There will be a movie for adults in the Lifetree room and for kids in the Youth room. Social Outreach Committee invites you to bring family and friends to this celebration kick off to the church year. There will be cards for you to send or hand out to family and friends with the information. Let’s make this a grand celebration.

MAHOMET MUSIC FESTIVAL The Mahomet Music Festival will be on Aug 25 this summer. We are planning to have a booth with the focus on the Walk for Water again this year. Last year there was a lot of interest shown by people at the festival. This gives us a good opportunity to share the importance of clean water throughout the world. Watch for further information about this outreach opportunity.

WALK FOR WATER - The date for the Walk for Water has been changed to October 13 and will be held at the Lake of the Woods. There is a $10 registration fee per adult and $5 for 5-12Y/O. We are offering team T-shirts this year. Each team will have the opportunity to order T-shirts thru the church in your choice of color at $10 each. More information will be coming for registration and ordering shirts.

ATTENDANCE for Sunday, July 22nd was 66 and the Offering was $1,981.00. SECOND QUARTER OFFERING STATEMENTS are in envelopes in the basket in the Narthex.
