Message from Rob about Re-Gathering Below
Brian and I are blessed to live near the Draper Preserve in Hailey (thank you, Draper family and Wood River Land Trust!) and we walk there nearly every day. One rainy morning last week we were surprised to find that a simple labyrinth, adorned with flowers, had appeared at the base of Bow Bridge. As we stood wondering and admiring, a friend came along and told us it was created by an eighth grade teacher, whose small class celebrated their graduation by walking the labyrinth and crossing the bridge over the river (with appropriate physical distancing, of course!) to symbolically mark this time in their journey. I can’t help thinking what a beautiful and meaningful ceremony that must have been.

The image of that flower-strewn labyrinth in the quiet woods has stayed with me, a powerful reminder of the importance of being agents of creativity and hope during these difficult times. I think many of us are discovering unexpected blessings in spite of the constraints we’ve accepted as the price of keeping our community healthy. But we shouldn’t be surprised. The Spirit of God is always creating, enlivening, and making all things new! May we be part of that life-giving work.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and look great!

Parishioners Margie Gould and Helen Morgus have been stitching up beautiful masks for the St. Thomas community, including red masks especially for Pentecost. These are available for you to use during worship and take home at no charge, but if you wish to make a special gift to the Capital Campaign, the suggested donation is $5.00. Paper masks will also be available at no charge.

Thank you, Margie and Helen!

Green Team Tip: PLANT A TREE

Trees take in carbon dioxide and produce oxygen thus improving our air quality, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wild life.

Weather permitting (canceled if it rains), Evening Prayer will be held on the labyrinth today (Tuesday, May 26th at 5:30. Attendance is limited, so please contact Judi Fuller if you would like to participate or sign up HERE. You will need to bring a camp/picnic chair, plus your face mask. We are so looking forward to seeing some of you in person!
