Consistency is Key
In marketing, it is important that your messaging has consistency so you become recognizable with little to no effort.
What that means is that you want a look that doesn't change from one place to another (e.g. different colors or logo on your business cards than on your brochure).
It also means that you need to "sound" the same in all your messaging. Adopt a tone that sounds like you and keep with it.Humor is good, but not if it doesn't come naturally. A professional tone is fine, as long as you don't sound stilted and unnatural.
Tie in the sound to the visual so there is a connection that reinforces the branding rather than confuses it.
