Here's a "Throwback Throwback" - a repost from a Monterey Regional Airport post from 2014. Official Airport Opening "breaking the tape" - 1942. Fast forward to 2021and working our way out of the pandemic - Daily nonstop @AlaskaAir service between Monterey Regional Airport and @flySEA  Seattle-Tacoma International Airport will begin February 11, 2021. While we are still in a shelter in place mode, it doesn't hurt to plan some fun, post-pandemic trips when we can!

City of Monterey Seeks Public Input on Cannabis Businesses
The City of Monterey will host two virtual town halls to solicit feedback about cannabis operations within the City of Monterey, Tuesday, January 26 at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday, January 28 at 7:00 p.m. Residents can register at haveyoursaymonterey.org/cannabis. Parallel, the City is also launched today a new web-based engagement platform, Have Your Say Monterey, at haveyoursaymonterey.org which features a community survey about cannabis operations. A mail-in version of the survey will be also sent at the end of January via USPS to all households in Monterey to give residents an opportunity to submit their opinion via traditional mail. We encourage you to sign up today and be an important part of the process! Your participation keeps our community strong and vibrant! (Link to flyer in English and Spanish)
Monterey Firefighters Get Vaccinations as First Tier Public Health Workers
In the past week, your Monterey Firefighters started receiving and administering the COVID-19 vaccine. This will allow them to continue to serve the the community without interruption, protect at-risk individuals and loved ones at home. ⁣Now, more than ever, please help us stop the spread by continuing to adhere to guidelines from the experts like social distancing and mask wearing. We’re all in this together!⁣
Monterey County Health Department Vaccine Schedule Outline
The City of Monterey continues to work with with the lead agency, the Monterey County Public Health Department, to help in the rollout of the vaccines. We will know more details from the County soon and will continue to provide the very latest information. For details visit the County website:
