CALLING LC SOCCER ALUMNI
Time for Fun on the Field
The Bears are hosting an Alumni Soccer Game on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at the LC soccer field located behind the school at the end of Caito Drive. The match starts at noon.
All alumni of the LC Bears boys soccer program are welcome to join for a chance to reconnect with old friends and meet the current team. Alumni will play two halves against each other, while also watching a brief inter-squad scrimmage among the current team. The grill will be going and participants will receive an LC soccer shirt as well. If you would like to participate, contact Coach Spooner at [email protected]. Cost is $25 per participant.

David Lawrence, Lawrence North Class of 1986,
is stepping down as president and CEO of the Arts Council of Indianapolis after 19 years with the organization. He is leaving to take the job of president and CEO of the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County in Lake Worth, Florida. His last day with the Arts Council will be Aug. 3. To read more, click here. Torsten Schreiber, Lawrence Central Class of 2007,
married Patricia Connelly at St. Joan of Arc in Indianapolis, IN, on May 12, 2018. We wish the newlyweds much joy and happiness as they begin the next chapter in their lives. Congratulations Torsten and Patricia!
Dean Gardner, Lawrence Central Class of 2013,
will begin his teaching career at Harrison Hill Elementary School, this school year. Dean recently graduated from Indiana University with his degree in Elementary Education. Welcome back home Dean!
Kristen Swanson, Lawrence Central Class of 2013,
and
Petr Sliva, Lawrence Central Class of 2013,
were married on June 16, 2018, in downtown Indianapolis and plenty of alumni were on deck to witness this special day. Courtney Swanson (LC 2015), was the maid of honor. Co-bestmen were Adam Reddigari (LN 2013) and the groom's brother, Tommy Sliva (LC 2012 ). LT alumni in the wedding party included Mikayla Burrell (LC 2014), Scott Lain (LN 2013), Connor Tuthill (LC 2013), Alex Larsh (LC 2013), and Michael Lupinacci (LC 2013). Kristen and Petr met during their sophomore year at Lawrence Central, attended Indiana University, and are currently medical students at the IU School of Medicine. The bride's mother, Dawn Swanson, is a teacher at Amy Beverland Elementary. Congratulations Kristen and Petr.
