News & info highlights

Good news reminder came Wednesday
This week, the state director of
AdvancED stopped by campus, in a follow-up visit to LPA's earning accreditation in June.
Dr. Annette Melton had some very complimentary comments, in reviewing the academy's formal report. She listed as great strengths:
- Lake Pointe's caring teachers
- The academy's positive campus and classroom environments
- LPA's demonstrated adherence to its mission in the academy's operation.

Congratulations and thanks to teachers, students, and parents!

Pointing to lessons of the past to prepare students for the future

LPA Core Value #5: World evangelism

A chance to "go, therefore"

LPA is committed to leading a mission team of students, parents, and staff to serve people in Guatemala.
The spring 2020 trip for juniors and seniors and their families will include as many as fifty travelers, which may open opportunities for younger secondary students to go.

Two informational meetings were held recently to share details. Mr. Miller has arranged the mission trip through Clubhouse Guatemala. This organization is the one with which LPA has partnered the past several years, for a joint secondary-elementary effort to send Christmas boxes to Guatemala.
The trip is planned for alternating years, to complement the bi-annual junior-senior study tour to Europe.

Pray for God's work in Guatemala!

Off and running
The Cross Country team held two meets this week to open its season's contests. The girls and boys squads will both compete in two meets this coming week.
