Celebrating on the Red Carpet!

A walk on the Red Carpet always evokes images of the special treatment given to celebrities, heads of state and VIPs - and at Alameda Center, the Red Carpet walk is no less momentous!

Recognizing the sense of pride in our "graduates" at accomplishing their rehab goals, their excitement about returning home, and the very special connection they share with the staff that saw them get better & stronger, we are reminded of the reason we celebrate Nurses Week and Skilled Nursing Care Week.

As our first "Rehab Stars" return home, and our Residents bask in the undivided attention from the staff, we realize that we have reason to celebrate - two weeks in a row!

Our Red Carpet Program
is Off to a Great Start!

Congratulations to Alameda Center's first "graduates" Wieslawa Urbanowicz, Juan Rosa, Jose Diaz and Miriam Rodriguez: All "Rehab Stars" who beamed with pride walking on the red carpet!

We know that the bonds they created with staff and peers will remain not as memories of painful recovery, but as a testimony to their unwavering spirit - and Alameda's clinical excellence!

Wieslawa Urbanowicz, our first "Rehab Star" to walk the red carpet surrounded by the physicians, specialists, therapists and staff coming to celebrate with her and marking her send-off back to her cherished routines at home.

An Alameda Center Resident Speaks

I came to Alameda Center from RBMC Meridian Hospital. I've been suffering from complications of cardio-pulmonary issues and my primary physician, Dr. Vijay Patel, ordered me to seek out therapy in a nursing home. I was not particularly thrilled as I have gone through this before in similar circumstances and I felt the therapy given to me was more geared for occupational and physical therapy, not cardio-pulmonary rehab.

Dr. Patel promised me he knew a place with a specialized program doing exemplary proactive pulmonary therapy. He sent me to Alameda Center of Perth Amboy. As promised, I am now a part of this program and I am benefiting greatly from it! A special thanks to all the cardio nurses and therapists.
