ELGIN STREET UPDATE
On the morning of Monday, December 16th, Elgin Street, from Laurier Avenue to Catherine Street, will re-open to two-way traffic!
Re-opening the road will welcome motorists, cyclists and OC Transpo routes 5, 14 and 114 back to Elgin Street. It will also create on-street parking along Elgin Street, and will revert side streets that were temporarily converted to two-way streets back to one-way streets.
Work along Elgin Street will resume in early 2020 with utility upgrades, including underground connections to properties and the removal of the existing wood hydro poles along the west side of the street. Following the utility work will be top lift asphalt, landscaping, public art installation and streetlighting in the spring. Very exciting!
