The public is invited to review preliminary plans for several downtown catalyst sites at an open house on July 24 at 5:30 PM at the Burlington Public Library. City staff and consultants hired through the EPA area-wide planning grant will be on hand to discuss the redevelopment possibilities for these sites and how they could benefit the community.
The next Downtown Coffee & Conversation will be July 25 at 8 AM at the Uptown Ivy, 514 Jefferson. It's an opportunity to find out about the latest happenings and update your neighbors with your latest news as well. All downtown business and property owners, employees, and residents are welcome.
The market is in the 300 - 500 blocks next Thursday from 4:30 - 7:30 PM with fresh local produce, baked goods, food vendors, crafts, music by Rich Bliesener, and more. The Jefferson St. Farmers Market is organized by Downtown Partners, Inc. and supported by  Two Rivers Bank & Trust .
Downtown Partners wraps up the 5 & V Outdoor Cinema season on July 27 with 
Toy Story 3 at the corner of 5th and Valley. The movie, sponsored by IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, starts at dusk, but be sure to arrive early for games and prizes. Snacks and drinks will be available. Bring a lawn chair and join us in downtown Burlington for a night out!

Downtown Partners is seeking project proposals for the state funded Main Street Challenge Grant. The maximum grant award is $75,000 with a minimum 1:1 cash match required. The project must be downtown; work already begun is not eligible for funding. Visit here for application information. The project proposal deadline is August 17.

What:  The community is invited to the ground breaking for The Greater Burlington Area Indoor Sports Facilities - The Turf. When finished, the 78,500 square foot indoor sports facility can be configured for up to eight playing surfaces for soccer, two youth softball fields, batting and pitching cages and allow for easy field conversion to other sports. The goal of the project is to give local athletes the space they need and turn Greater Burlington into the destination for youth sports.
