Obituary: former chair of trustees, Graham Corbett
Graham Corbett, our chair of trustees from 1998 to 2016, sadly died on 27 April, 2018. Our current chair, Phil Friend, has paid tribute to him and the work he did, both for us and in his campaigning for accessibility and inclusion more widely. Read Graham Corbett's obituary below.

Cycling and walking safety
The Government is calling for evidence for their safety review of cycling and wal king - and there are only a few days left to respond.
The National Federation of the Blind has been protesting against shared space schemes which create no-go zones for many blind and partially-sighted people and other disabled and older pedestrians.

Britain's 'hidden' housing crisis
Disabled people in Britain aren’t getting the housing support that they need to live independently, a new report by the Equality and Human Rights Commission shows.
It finds a ‘significant shortage’ of accessible homes and ‘unacceptable bureaucracy and delay’ in installing home adaptations. The result is that disabled people are too often demoralised and frustrated by the housing system. See the report below.

Two national reports have highlighted the gap in postural care services for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
