"Coming back to Ann Arbor excites me tremendously. Working with an organization that helps shape the future leaders is an exciting and rare opportunity."
Welcome home, Asli! Tauber alumna H. Asli Aka joined the Tauber staff this month as Associate Director, Industry Relations. Asli's inside knowledge of the Tauber experience, coupled with her strong background in strategic consulting and international business development, make her an ideal choice to facilitate the Industry partnerships that are the hallmark of the institute.

"We were able to save a business that employed over 100 people. The business is still going strong today. None of that was possible without great people and, frankly, without the knowledge and experience that I gained at Tauber."
Today Tauber alumnus Bill Muir
(MBA & MSE-IOE '97) is a proud Michigan parent. And even though he now lives in Tennessee, he never misses an Ann Arbor football game! In the two decades since his graduation, Bill has enjoyed leadership roles in manufacturing, distribution, and contracting, and is currently Senior Vice President at Change Healthcare.

Tauber solutions:
Invest in clean transportation
The challenge: Pacific Gas & Electric is seeking growth opportunities that complement California's objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Their 2017 Tauber team was charged with identifying an ideal green growth avenue.
The solution: The Tauber team of
Madeline Gilleran (EGL BSE/MSE-ME), Pauline Park (MBA), and Vikram Vaidyanathan (MBA) recommended PG&E focus efforts on hydrogen light-duty vehicles, and also medium-duty vehicles and heavy duty-vehicles fueled by hydrogen, natural gas, or electricity. The team created a detailed process map and action plan highlighting six focus areas: coordinating and tracking clean transportation projects, building subject matter expertise, developing future strategic initiatives, marketing clean transportation externally, exploring preliminary siting capabilities, and formalizing the fuel-switching process for employees. Once implemented, the team expects their plan will have significant impact on both PG&E's business and California's environment.
