Perrin's Preview
Dear MSY families,
It is almost overwhelming to reflect on the year we have had in Middle School ministry. We began with a tie dye party in August in which we welcomed new 6th graders and began to challenge our 8th graders. Now, we are looking to our 6th graders for leadership and preparing for our 8th graders to transition to high school! This community of youth is thoughtful, welcoming, and a lot of fun. I have seen substantial growth in our youth as individuals through learning, play, and service and it has made a tremendous impact on the health of our youth group. Thank you for the ways you show up, give back, and support this ministry. I am looking forward to carrying this momentum into the summer as we prepare for CROSS missions and a trip to Heifer's Global Village program. Please look below for the weekly rhythm of the summer and reach out if you have any questions.
Peace,
Perrin Tribble
Director of Middle School Ministry

Summer Mission Experiences!
Registration is now Open!
CROSS Missions
, June 17-22
$295/youth
$150/chaperone
Deadline is May 15th
This trip is open to all MSY and is a rich week of service right here in Charlotte. CROSS fosters an environment of worship, service, and fellowship that makes a lasting impact on youth and adults who attend! We still need chaperones for this week. Since we stay in Charlotte, adults can serve for the full week or just a few days. Please e-mail
Perrin.tribble@covenantpresby.org to reserve your spot today.
Heifer Global Village Experience for Quest, July 8-13
$400/youth
$200/chaperone
Trip now open to current 7th graders!
This trip is first open to our current Quest class and any spots still open can be filled by other MSY. We will travel to Shepherd's Spring in Sharpsburg, Maryland to experience the Heifer International Global Village. The global Village is a poverty simulation in which we will spend two nights in a collection of authentic model houses from around the world. We will also take a trip over to Washington, D.C. for sightseeing and museum visits. I believe this week will be an opportunity for the group to be pushed out of their comfort zones and to experience a world very different from our own.
