Weekend Weather & Events Update

|
Unfortunately, inclement weather is expected throughout the rest of the weekend. Chill by the Grill scheduled for this weekend will be postponed to June 10th. However, the weather won't stop the Gardens from having a wonderful Memorial Day program in the Magnolia Ballroom followed by the BBQ Cookout also in the Magnolia Ballroom.

Advisory Committee Meeting
|
|
Over the past months, the Advisory Committee has received an increasing number of comments and concerns from residents regarding access to the Gardens and the Clubhouse by nonresident individuals. In response to these growing comments the Advisory Committee has been working on procedures to stop these unauthorized occurrences. In order to keep our residents in the loop there will be two meetings held. The first meeting will be on Wednesday, May 23rd at 7 p.m. in the Magnolia Ballroom and the second meeting on Friday, May 25th at 9:30 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room.

ADVISORY COMMITTEE THANK YOU
On behalf of the Advisory Committee, Environmental and Landscape AdHoc Committees, Howard Jeffries and myself, I would like to express our thanks for all the resident volunteers that donated their time and energy to pick up, plant and water the free trees that were offered by the City of DeLand and the DeLand Breakfast Rotary on Earth Day, Saturday April 21st. Also thanks to those residents, who were unable to volunteer, that completed the Tree Form and provided them to us for tree pick up. We would like to thank the volunteers by inviting them to a Thank You Luncheon get-together at 12:00 on June 2nd. Please e-mail me at papalenc@gmail.com if you can join us.

Banquet Rentals
Banquet rentals are a part of the Victoria Gardens Clubhouse operating income. The generated income benefits the residents by helping to offset some of the homeowners association fees. The Clubhouse team tries to accommodate resident programs and activities as scheduled. However, there may be some adjustments to the location of the activity/fitness class etc. As those changes occur, we will keep you posted via the weekly newsletter so you can prepare properly.

Gift cards are now available for the Café! Stop by the Resident Service Desk or Cafe to get yours today. Your purchased gift card will also be your loyalty card, so hang on to it for extra rewards! You may add money to your card at any time by visiting the Resident Service Desk or the Cafe.
The more you use it, the more you earn.!

Pool & Spa Rules
Summer is quickly approaching and the pool is a hot amenity during this season! Please keep the pool rules and regulations in mind when visiting the Pool or Spa. It is strongly encouraged that residents inform guests of these regulations as well. Residents and guests should be enjoying the amenities our community has to offer. The dress code is also important to note when entering the Clubhouse. Residents and guest must be dry, covered up, and with appropriate shoes. The Club Manager has tasked the staff to closely monitor the pool and spa area. On behalf of the Clubhouse management, thank you for keeping the pool and spa clean, secure, and enjoyable for all residents.

Those wishing to participate in the
tournament
must sign up in the Activities Book by noon on Monday, June 11th.
The format of the tournament will be a round robin with random partners for each round. The top four scores will face off in a single game to establish 1st and 2nd place. First place team will receive two $15 gift cards to the café and
second place will receive two $10 gift cards.
