Stone Harbor Wins Environmental 
Leader Award

  
 
The Borough of Stone Harbor was announced as the recipient of the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce 2019 Environmental Leadership Award. This award recognizes the Borough's continued efforts to reduce single use plastics within the Borough; with the banning of plastic bags, styrofoam and plastic straws. The ban on single use plastics has been in effect in Stone Harbor since June 1st.

8th Street Jetty Update

 
The 8th Street jetty was damaged by winter storm Jonas in 2016. A major repair project is scheduled to begin this month and will include bringing in very large rocks to restore the jetty. Once construction begins, access will be strictly prohibited for the safety of the public.    
New Beach Patrol Building Moves 
Towards Next Step

 
Stone Harbor Borough is moving ahead with the permit process after a new presentation was submitted to council for a new beach patrol building. Once all permits and bids on construction are completed; the new building could possibly start being constructed after Labor Day 2020; and would be completed before Memorial Day 2021.
The American Legion hosts 
Home for the Holidays!
  
 
Saturday, December 14 - The American Legion; Stephen C. Ludlam Post 331 has started a program that offers an all-expense-paid trip home for the holidays for a few lucky members of the Coast Guard. Very generous donors and support from fellow Legionnaires will allow four Coast Guardsmen to join their families for the holidays! Home for the Holidays is an event open to the public, light lunch will be served and it also offers the public the chance to learn more about the Coast Guard members who are going home and about the Coast Guard base located in Cape May! 
The Legion will also honor local World War II and Korean War veterans with a free luncheon at their annual Pearl Harbor Day event from 1-3pm.
