Congratulations to Toni Hamilton, the first ever Jackette to play VFLW On Sunday against Carlton she realised her sporting dream and joined former president David Smorgon and current doctors Gary Zimmerman and Jake Landsberger as part of the club’s strong Jewish contingent. Maccabi Tennis News
In Round 5, four out of nine Maccabi teams won. A special mention to Nathan Rapoport's Grade 9 team, who broke through for their first win of the season and are competing every week, gaining experience and playing for Maccabi.
Lights! Cameras! Action!
The U8 Eagles were due to play the U8 Falcons recently but due to Shavuot the game was deferred to be played under lights on Monday night 21 May. Apart from the usual excitement at an U8 game this was the first time in the history of the club that a regular FFV game was played under lights at Caulfield Park.
The game was played in great spirit in all aspects and was a treat to watch under lights for a change.
We wish both teams the very best for the rest of the 2018 FFV season.

AJAX suffer another
second-half fadeout
The Jackas extend their winless run to six games following a 50-point defeat to the Parkdale Vultures on the weekend. The loss leaves Mark Williams’ men perilously close to the two relegation spots at the bottom of the VAFA B ladder.
The U11 Rockets, U14 Comets and U17 Comets did have impressive wins. The U14 Girls came agonisingly close losing by just 2 points. Their first win is just around the orner.  Click here for an article on the league’s site featuring the girls team
