  Summer Sized Life Groups
Life works differently in the summer. It's a good time to push some pause buttons, and to regroup for the next season. And as with life, so with Life Groups!
So we're offering an array of 4 week, summer-sized, Life Groups. Whether you're already in a group, or want to try one out, 4 weeks in the summer can be just the right fit! Starting this Sunday, May 27, and then in next week's E-News, we will be listing various Life Group Leaders and times for June to August. The goal is to offer an array of 4 week schedules, with the hope that one will fit with your summer comings and goings. Where might you tie in?

An Evening of Blessing... a Praise Report!

The final outcome of the special evening in April to raise money for water purifiers and solar puffs (solar lanterns) for the people of Puerto Rico was amazing and a great blessing. St.Giles' beloved Vera Prior had a heart for the  Widow's Mite Experience, a ministry  d edicated to raising funds for places in need of water. The Women's Ministry of St. Giles partnered with Widow's Mite Experience in hosting An Evening of Blessing, which honored and was dedicated to our dear Vera.

As a result of memorial contributions given in her honor before the special evening, those given at the Evening of Blessing and contributions made in recent weeks, over  90 families will receive water purifiers and solar lanterns.

This represents approximately $9,000  in generous contributions given by many of you to honor Vera and to help the suffering people of Puerto Rico. Thank you and all praise to the Lord.

Saving Our Youth is looking for volunteers to be Champions for our next
Jobs for Life Class in June

We just graduated a class of 11 on April 17 and 9 are already employed. Lives are being transformed. Giving people food and clothes is great, but helping them become employed not only gives them the abiity to purchase those things on their own, but adds a sense of accomplishment. And with Jobs for LIfe, a Christian-based program, the students hear what it means to follow Jesus in the workplace.

We're asking for a 5-week commitment,  2 days a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30-10:30 AM.
