Plan to Address Housing Needs
The Project involves an update to the Housing Element of the City of Los Angeles General Plan. The proposed Housing Element Update establishes programs, policies and actions to further the goal of meeting the existing and projected housing needs of all income levels of the community, provides evidence of the City’s ability to accommodate the Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) allocation through the year 2029, as established by the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), and identifies any rezoning program needed to reach the required housing capacity.
The Project also includes necessary technical updates to the Safety Element triggered under state law by an update to the Housing Element. You can watch the Scoping Meeting Staff Presentation Video on the website.

Mayor Garcetti's VaxFacts - February Update

One figure best illustrates the speed at which we’re getting shots into arms: as of yesterday, our city had administered 97 percent of the vaccines we've been allocated by the state and federal government. And since last week, we’ve increased vaccinations at city sites by 50 percent.
We also launched our mobile vaccine clinic pilot program, a critical step in ensuring vaccine access in low-income communities of color, which have suffered the highest rates of disease and death from COVID-19. This effort began delivering vaccinations directly to South L.A. this week, and we will expand it to other vulnerable areas of the city in the weeks ahead. READ MORE

February is Responsible Pet Owners Month and for pet owners, or soon-to-be pet owners we want to make sure you know about pet laws. In addition to giving them love and attention, pets rely on us to feed and care for them, and keep them safe. Part of keeping our furry friends safe is by following City and State pet laws that were created to protect you, your pet, and your community.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)
Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
