GACCE MEMBER UPDATES
Augusta Metro Chamber
The Chamber has started a Pivot + Pitch Video Series with 5-6 episodes within a series. We interview businesses, via StreamYard platform, asking three questions: 1) How has your company pivoted operations during the pandemic?; 2) What changes have you implements or how are you planning to change to be most effective in this new normal?; and 3) Do you have a success story you would like to share of ways you have adapted and evolved in this ever changing environment?  We then "live stream" two a week, via Facebook and YouTube channel, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:15pm.  Each Monday, in our newsletter, our members get a sneak peak of which videos will be previewed for that week. On Wednesdays and Fridays, following the release on social media, members receive a stand alone email with the video. Our members have really enjoyed sharing the story of navigating operations during the pandemic!

Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber

Eatonton-Putnam Chamber
Due to COFID restrictions, the Chamber cancelled our 21st Annual Taste of Eatonton. However, we are still on target for our 11th Annual Legislative Breakfast, October 22nd, at the Plaza Arts Center.  The city of Eatonton has asked to partner with us so this will part of the GMA Town hall legislative events.  A representative from GMA will participate virtually, while others will be in person.  Tytan Films will assist in technically producing the events so that we can live stream on social media, as well as having it recorded on our website.

Our Tourism & Special Events director has recently installed an exhibit of "Arts in Eatonton and on the Lakes" at the Georgia Welcome Center in Augusta.

Brooke Barrette, our membership, services and communications director, has taken a position at Reynolds Planation in their marketing department.  The position will not be filled until January.

After 40 years at the same Chamber, President Roddie Anne Blackwell has decided to make a career change at the end of the year, it's called retirement.  Resumes are now being accepted for the position, and more information can be found on the GACCE Careers page.

The platform is going to make it easy to host a once in-person four day conference virtually.

Griffin Spalding Chamber
For October we are hosting a "Girl's Night Out - Flappers Only" event that is a casino, music, food and drink event that was scheduled for March, but postponed.  Our attendance will be limited, and we are currently working on how to sanitize playing cards.  Our Business After Hours for October will be outdoors but in person.

The event includes a plated gourmet meal, a keynote speaker, a self defense demonstration, and 10 Bazaar Booth vendors featuring products/services specifically for women.
