Open Trails + Art + Music
Saturday, June 2, 2:00 to 6:00 PM
(RAIN DATE: Sunday, June 3, 2:00 to 6:00 PM - check i-park.org for the latest)
Enjoy viewing local plein air painters at work while strolling, hiking and exploring select trails, including Mie's Trail and the Gravel Pit Preserve, special sites dedicated to environmental preservation and observation. Along the other trails, you will encounter numerous additional environmental art installations. Maps will be provided for your self-guided wanderings.
The Eight Mile River Band will be playing in the Outdoor Performance Area from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Guests are welcome to bring along a blanket and picnic basket and enjoy Tom Vernon and his bandmates as they bring their traditional, and modern interpretations of, bluegrass music to I-Park.
This is a FREE family-friendly community event. Visitors are urged to wear comfortable walking shoes. And, due to the fragile nature of the trails and art installations, no pets are allowed.
Reservations are required so we can plan for parking and staffing.
