Harassment Support
Our union takes allegations of sexual harassment and abuse extremely seriously, and we work every day to ensure that all musicians have the support they need to thrive. Harassment has no place in our union or community, and we've strengthened our Sexual Harassment Response Procedure in order to allow musicians to report allegations of harassment directly to union representatives. If you experience or witness harassment, there are resources available to you:
Call your Local 802 business representative and confidentially report the incident at (212) 245-4802.
Contact the Actors Fund for resources and support at (917) 281-5919.
File a report with the NYC Commission on Human Rights at (718) 722-3131.
Contact the New York State Division of Human Rights at https://dhr.ny.gov
Do you perform private events, weddings, and parties? Do you do private teaching, recording, or arranging work? NewYorkMusicians.com is Local 802's online musician directory, through which employers can hire you for gigs under union contracts. Local 802 members are eligible to create free profiles to promote their individual work, and ensemble/band profiles to promote their band, chamber group, or large ensemble. To enroll now, click here.
June 1 is the deadline to register to vote in New York's June 26 federal primary. Get registration info

here as the election date approaches. Stay informed and be sure to stand up for working people at the ballot box!
Have you gotten started on your spring cleaning? Clear out your closets and bring all of your clothing, shoes, linens, and other textiles to the
Broadway Green Alliance textile drive this Wednesday, May 23. The collection drive is open to all shows, theatres, industry members, and fans in a collaborative effort to make cleaning out your theatre or your closet a greener experience. Wearable Collections, a NYC-based company focused on keeping clothing, textiles, and shoes out of landfills while generating funds for charities, will repurpose or recycle the donations. Click
here for more information on what we can and cannot accept.
