National PTA Resources: STEM at Home
Families are Key to Student Success.
As a parent, you are your child's first teacher. Families are the links to enrichment opportunities, as well as influences on students' perceptions of what is possible for their future. That's why parents and caregivers are key partners for teachers and schools to engage in the development and expansion of STEM learning and access.

Hospitality Committee
On Tuesday, November 13th, the PTSA Hospitality Committee hosted a luncheon for our CMM facultyand staff. During this season of thankfulness, we are especially thankful for our CMM family and we were delighted to serve our faculty and staff. Chicken and sausage jambalaya, tossed green salad, yeast rolls and brownies were on the menu.
Many thanks to the members of the hospitality committee who cooked, delivered items (all early or on time!) served and cleaned up.
Five door prize winners took home
some festive fall décor and a great time was had by all.
We will be hosting a Mardi Gras luncheon on March and an end of the year luncheon in May, so everyone who would like to help out with one of our luncheons still has two opportunities to do so.
Thank you again to our volunteers and our awesome CMM family!

Colonial Days 2018
Colonial Days 2018 was a huge success! We are so thankful for everyone who helped make it possible. We didn't let a soggy field stop us from having
an amazing event. The students look great in their colonial attire, ate a ton of food, and engaged with all the Artisans.
In addition to the parents, we would also like to thank:
- Mr Fox for his guidance and patience
- The 7th grade teachers who painted and set up booths and oversaw Sno Cones
- The many parents who volunteered to work, donate items, and pick up food and supplies
- The chairmen who took on the responsibilities of various aspects of Colonial Days:
- Melanie Peacock, Amy O'Callaghan, Jennifer Ling, Robin Ramsey, and Kimberly Green
- All the 7th graders who dressed up and had a blast
- The generous vendors, many of whom went above and beyond
- The high school volunteers
- The Artisans!!
Thanks again!

Stallion
Showcase
It was great to see so many excited 5th graders and their parents walking through the halls of CMM on September 30th at Stallion Showcase. The weather outside was frightful, but the presentation inside was delightful! Hundreds of parents and children braved the rainy weather to meet teachers, see orchestra performances, tour the library, and learn what being a Stallion really means. It is always an honor to show prospective parents what the CMMunity has to offer.
Thanks to the many parent volunteers who came out in the rain to make sure everyone who walked through the door was welcomed with a smile.
