On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, the Rev. Dr. John Tinklepaugh passed away in North East, Maryland.

Tinklepaugh was canonically resident and served as rector of Church of St. Andrew and St. Monica from 1982 to 1983, at Church of Our Saviour, Jenkintown in 1985, and as the rector of St. Jude and the Nativity from 1985 to 2006.

He was born in Binghamton, NY in 1936 to Joseph and Pearl Tinklepaugh and received a BA at The Kings' College and an MDiv at Denver Seminary.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., at Good Shepherd Church, (310 George Street), Chesapeake City, MD. Visitation will be held the morning of Thursday, July 19th from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at St. Augustine, Chesapeake City. The service will begin at 11 a.m. (310 Mitton Street, Chesapeake City, MD). Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Smith.

Rev. Tinklepaugh is survived by his beloved wife Carol.
