Enrollment Instructions for Subscription Busing for the 2018-19 School Year

The North Caldwell Board of Education will once again offer a subscription busing program for the 2018-19 school year. Under this program, children who live more than two miles from their school will continue to be bused without charge, and children who live two miles or less from their school will be required to pay a subsidized cost to receive busing. If you live more than two miles from school and your family is entitled to busing, you have already received a letter from the Board of Education. Please  click here for Frequently Asked Questions on the subscription busing program, which we encourage you to review as you complete the application process.

All families that are interested in purchasing subscription busing for the 2018-19 school year must register and pay for your seat on the bus by June 15, 2018. The transportation company will need time to properly implement the program once subscription levels are known. This is the final deadline; we cannot provide any extensions.

Please go to  https://ncboe-eresctrans.com/online-payment/ and complete your application for subscription busing. As part of the application, you will be asked to select your top two choices for bus stops. You can access your current bus stop assignment by logging into your account on the Genesis Parent Portal.

The cost for busing is $450 per child for the entire school year, with a maximum charge of $1,000 per family. The charge for an a.m. or p.m. only route is $300 per child. One-way busing is subject to availability. Payment can be made via Credit Card, PayPal, or Check. All payments must be received no later than June 15, 2018.

If you have questions about the subscription busing program, please contact the Essex Regional Ed Services Commission:

  • The 2nd grade students participated in a first time performance of the 50 Nifty States Show. The children loved learning about the fifty states and how they are divided into five different regions. Each student researched a state and presented their hard work to the parents. The students were so excited to learn new songs and share their newfound knowledge of the states they studied.
