From a PBS program to TIME Magazine's Special Issue (great beach reading) , John Jay and his hometown of Rye are getting national recognition! This summer, see the original view that inspired an American Founding Father at Westchester County's only National Historic Landmark District!
Sunday, July 29th, 4 - 6pm
with  Eric Jaffe, Author and Journalist

Discover the history behind the highways and byways that influenced the way we travel around these United States. Join us for a private screening of   PBS’  newest documentary,  
10 Streets that Changed America  shot here in Rye! 

The screening will be followed by lively conversation with author and journalist  Eric Jaffe  together with light bites and summer beverages (perhaps even a colonial Stone Fence or Rattle Skull rum drink!) Travel from our Mile Marker #24 all along the historic Boston Post Road.  Read more .

Expanded paths and dynamic preservation workshops continue to draw visitors! Andiamo!
Above, archaeologist Eugene Boesch works with our summer volunteers to unearth long hidden features of the Jay Estate. High school students are also transcribing primary documents and creating finding aids for JHC's collection
