Shooting at Capital Gazette

Newspapers have the power to bring about great good. The Capital Gazette is a well-respected newspaper that is integral to our regional community. It is not only a member of the chamber, but a partner in advancing our community. From reporting important news to keeping us engaged, the Capital Gazette plays an invaluable role in Central Maryland. We are deeply saddened by the reports of yesterday’s shooting at the Capital Gazette’s office. Our prayers go out to the victims and their families. The chamber is ready to assist in any way possible and will keep you updated on ways you can help as this situation further unfolds.  You can get additional information at: http://www.capitalgazette.com
Make Your Business Voice Heard!

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is expanding its surveys of business activity and needs your help! The Bank is partnering with all types of businesses to find out more about local businesses conditions. The resulting survey is seen as one of the earliest and best reports of business activity in Maryland and plays an important role in helping our economists to understand what businesses are going through. The survey is brief (typically takes less than 10 minutes), and asks participants to report if their business has experienced an increase, no change, or decrease on several different business indicators including wages, spending, and sales. This allows the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond to better understand businesses in Maryland. All businesses in the chamber are invited to participate. If you’re an employer in Maryland, the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond wants to hear from you! Past survey reports can be found here
