How are organizations and communities dealing with  the cuts in DCA matching-grants?

 


1.
  Sue Ellen Beryl, Managing Director for Palm Beach Dramaworks based in West Palm Beach :

     


a.  Her letter to patrons in program book; and

b.  Theatre-seat campaign in program book to help educate patrons  about the need for contributions and grants beyond  the cost of their tickets.


2.
  Donna McBride,  Sr. Director of Grants & Government Relations for the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts based in Tampa.

The Tampa Bay Arts Bridge Fund -- a collaboration among three  local foundations to help bridge the
gap in these DCA cuts.



3.
  Terry Olson, Director of Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs

Orange County just approved an extra $575,742 from its general fund to bring county funding for its arts and culture organizations  back to $1 per capita. It was at 57  cents per capita.  Put with the TDT funds,  that's more than $5 per capita.
