This Chapter of Your Story, Part 2
Reverend Scott McNeill
When the story of your life is complete, what will this chapter entail? It helps when we realize we are not passive players in a production but are co-creating the arc of our life story each and every day. This week, we'll look deeper into our selves to search for patterns or foreshadowing, and how we might continue - or change - the narratives with which we've become familiar.
This Week in Religious Education
World of Wonder (Preschool) will share the story of Old Jo and the Carpenter and investigate the UU Indigo Promise, Insist on Peace. K+ will explore different ways to tell stories and make their own sets of story stones.
Religious Education (RE) is collecting empty single use water bottles for the intersession tree watering project. If you have any to donate, please bring them to the RE Office (Room 203).

Parents, It is Time for Religious Education Registration!
Kitty McIntosh will be in Fellowship Hall  this Sunday to help you register your children and youth for 2018-19.  This helps us plan class sizes, relay important information to their teachers, and keep children and youth safe.  Or you can register now online at:  https://goo.gl/qyvGaA

Parents of 7th-8th graders , we will be offering "Our Whole Lives: Lifespan Sexuality Education" this fall on Sundays, 10:45am-12:15pm. Please note the special time and plan to attend the mandatory parent meeting August 19th, 12:30-2pm in the Library. Contact Adrienne Summerlot, [email protected] , if you have questions. Sign up for the parent meeting online here:

Our Folks . . .
Our sympathy is with Kevin Rottet and Dave Crane and their family upon the passing of Kevin's mother Carollee Strath in Michigan on July 6.
A Celebration of Life for Steve Hall, son of congregation member Jackie Hall, will be hosted by Steve's childhood friends on July 15th at 4:00 p.m. in the Federal Room of the Indiana Memorial Union.     Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
UU Humanists Meet Sunday, July 15, 12:45 pm
An opportunity for regular, open, wide-ranging discussions relating to ethics, human development, and the nature of the universe. This bi-weekly forum will meet next on Sunday, July 15 at 12:45 in Fellowship Hall. The discussion topic is "Mike Pence???" and will be led by Betty Wagoner.  It will be a discussion of the perplexity of Pence's religious faith,  his influence in the policies of White House, and his ambition to  become the US president.  All are invited to attend. For general questions about our UU Humanist group, contact  Ann Watzel.
Successful Juke Joint Fundraiser
Thank you to those who volunteered and attended this year's Juke Joint fundraiser, on Saturday, June 23rd! In total, the day raised $1,300 and was a huge success! Thanks to Dr. Gladys Devane and Elizabeth Mitchell for their work in coordinating this, along with our Racial Justice Task Force.
We want to know your story!
We would like to learn about your story with the UU Church of Bloomington; what brought you here, what is meaningful to you here, and how you connect with this community. Please take this short survey to help us learn about your story with UUCB.  https://goo.gl/forms/74WAwVkZ91tPi0Zu2.

Weed of the Week
If you notice crabgrass in our church gardens (especially in the mulched areas), please pull it out! Removing it early is easiest, but certainly before it goes to seed, since it is an annual.

Thank you!
