GPRA Update 7/23/2018 - Amara
Dear Great Pyrenees Friends,

We need your help. We have already rescued 127 Gentle Giants this year and are on pace to rescue almost 100 more PYRS this year than last as we head to 1,500 total rescues. This is record shattering for GPRA but our biggest concern and need is for foster homes. We will have a dozen in boarding with six more Giants waiting to come in.

We were advised on Friday th at Amara, who is just over a year old,  was hit by a car. We immediately brought her in and she is in surgery with our orthopedic today. She has a fractured tibia and fibula that our vet now believes was the result of a baseball bat. Her bones will be repaired with pins and wires and her recovery period will be 8 weeks and this sweetheart girl will be as good as new.

If you live in the Atlanta area, please let us  know if you will consider fostering Amara or one of our other PYRS. Jenny will make sure you get the right fit and most all are easy and just need some TLC.

Thank you,
John
