ExxonMobil-Eni submit Rovuma LNG plan

Neftegaz.ru, July 9, 2018: ExxonMobil has, together with its partners in the Mozambique Rovuma Venture submitted the development plan to the government for the 1st phase of the Rovuma LNG project, which will produce, LNG from the Mamba fields located in the Area 4 block offshore Mozambique.
  The plan details the proposed design and construction of 2 LNG trains which will each produce 7.6 million tons of LNG per year. ExxonMobil will lead the construction and operation of natural gas liquefaction and related facilities on behalf of the joint venture, and Eni will lead the construction and operation of upstream facilities.  Read more...
LUKOIL to considerably increase gas production in Uzbekistan (Exclusive)

En.trend.az, July 9, 2018: The Russian oil and gas company LUKOIL is planning to produce 14.6 billion cubic meters of gas in Uzbekistan In 2018, which is 60 percent more compared to 9.09 billion cubic meters in 2017, a source in the Russian company told Trend.
The representative of LUKOIL noted that gas production in projects involving the company will amount to 18 billion cubic meters in 2019, of which 15 billion cubic meters will be commodity gas.   Read more...
Gazprom and Uzbekneftegaz review ongoing development of Shakhpakhty field

Neftegaz.ru, July 9, 2018: A working meeting between Alexey Miller, CEO of Gazprom, and Alisher Sultanov, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uzbekneftegaz, took place on July 6.
The parties discussed the bilateral cooperation between the companies, focusing on the joint development of the Shakhpakhty field. The meeting also touched upon the interactions related to the purchases of Uzbek gas by Gazprom.  Read more...

LNG carriers are completing the Northern Sea route passage

Neftegaz.ru, July 6, 2018: NOVATEK announced today that 2 Arc7 ice-class LNG tankers Vladimir Rusanov and Eduard Toll are completing the Northern Sea Route passage via the Eastern direction.
The Vladimir Rusanov passed the Northern Sea Route and arrived at the Bering Strait, while the Eduard Toll entered open water in the Chukchi Sea. Both tankers were dispatched from the port of Sabetta loaded with cargos of LNG produced by the company's Yamal LNG project and are now heading towards the Chinese port of Jiangsu Rudong.  Read more...
Russian offshore zones on Russky, Oktyabrsky Islands to open in autumn, vows minister

Tass.com, July 10, 2018: Russia's special administrative regions, pegged as alternatives to foreign offshore zones, will be launched on Russky Island in the Far East and on Oktyabrsky Island in the Kaliningrad Region in September-October 2018, Economic Development Minister Maksim Oreshkin said Tuesday.
"The mechanism will be launched in September-October," he replied when asked about the starting date of the special administrative regions in the Far East and Kaliningrad Regions.  Read more...
Russia's trade surplus jumps 42.6 % in 1st 5 months

Neftegaz.ru, July 10, 2018: Russia's trade surplus surged 42.6 % year-on-year to $81.4 billion in the 1st 5 months this year, the Russian Federal Customs Service said on July 9.
Russia's trade turnover amounted to $ 273 billion in the January-May period, up 23.3 % from the same period last year, the agency said in a statement. Consumer inflation in 2019 is seen overshooting the central bank's target of 4.0%, the ministry said.  Read more...
Russia-China Expo contributes to boosting regional ties - Chinese official

Tass.com, July 12, 2018: The Russia-China Expo in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg became an important platform for boosting ties between the two countries' regions, Spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce Gao Feng said at a briefing on Thursday.
"A forum that took place during the fair thoroughly discussed ways to intensify trade, economic, investment, scientific, cultural and infrastructure cooperation between the regions of China and Russia," he said. "This event proved to be an important platform for enhancing dialogue between Chinese and Russian companies, as well as between the two countries' regional authorities," Gao Fend added.  Read more...
Yandex is already Russia's Google - now it's planning to become Russia's Amazon

Businessinsider.com, July 7, 2018: Yandex, popularly known as Russia's Google, is working on its own online shopping service that might help it become Russia's Amazon.
Yandex is Russia's biggest tech firm, and best known for creating the country's most popular search engine.
The firm says it has 50 million monthly users - an impressive statistic given there are 87 million internet users in Russia overall, according to the Association of Internet Trade Companies (AITC).  Read more...
Rooppur NPP power unit #2 in Bangladesh obtained a license for construction

Neftegaz.ru, July 9, 2018: ROSATOM reported today that on July 08, the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (BAERA) granted a license for design and construction of Rooppur NPP power unit No 2 constructed under the Russian design to the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC).
The document confirms the safety and gives a permission to commence the construction of the 2nd power unit.  Read more...
Lada lifts export sales in first half

Just-auto.com, July 10, 2018: Lada says it sold 16,592 cars in overseas markets in the first half of 2018, a 64% increase compared to the results for the same period last year.
In June, 3,508 vehicles were sold outside Russia, which is 34% more than in June 2017 and the best result of the month for the last three years.
The countries with the best results of Lada sales in the first half of the year were Belarus and Kazakhstan.  Read more...
Italian, Russian companies to open MRO center near Moscow

Intelligent-aerospace.com, July 9, 2018: Italian maintenance, repair and overhaul services provider Atitech S.p.A. has signed an agreement with Russian state-owned company Rostec and its subsidiary Technodinamika for the construction of a repair center near Moscow.
The facility, to be constructed in two-years' time, will provide MRO services on aircraft components and engines for foreign and domestic carriers, Rostech said, with an emphasis on the Sukhoi Superjet 100, Irkut MC-21 and large commercial craft from Airbus, Bombardier and Boeing.  Read more...
Russian Arctic may be a hub for international data centers - expert

Tass.com, July 12, 2018: Russia's Arctic part may become a big data hub for international companies, an expert of the Project Office for Arctic Development, Academician Alexander Vorotnikov told TASS.
On June 15, Russia's President Vladimir Putin during the national question and answer session said Russia's future is connected with development of the digital economy.
"Russia should use a chance to become a biggest hub for keeping data of international companies," the expert said. "Many international companies, like Facebook, for example, have data centers near the Polar Circle."   Read more...
Russian startup event more international than ever

In its sixth year, Startup Village, Russia's largest startup conference for tech entrepreneurs, attracted over 20,000 attendees from more than 80 countries.

International organizations ready to support small business in Azerbaijan

En.trend.az, July 11, 2018: International organizations are ready to support the creation of new favorable conditions for small business in Azerbaijan, Torbjörn Fredriksson, Head the ICT Analysis Section of the Division on Technology and Logistics at the UN Conference on Trade and Development told reporters July 11 on the sidelines of the conference on "Electronic commerce in Azerbaijan: current status and prospects of development" in Baku.

GEORGIA WINE EXPORTS IN H1 DRIVEN BY RUSSIAN DEMAND

Thedrinksbusiness.com, July 12, 2018: The ancient winemaking country's exports from January to June rose by 21% year-on-year to 38.2 million bottles, while its value jumped 28% to US$90.3 million, according to figures released by its official wine trade organisation, National Wine Agency.
Russia still remains the country's biggest export market with more than 24 million bottles of Georgian wines shipped during the period, followed by Ukraine (4.19 million bottles), China (2.9 million bottles), Kazakhstan (1.65 million bottles) and Poland (1.57 million bottles).
China briefly surpassed Ukraine to become its second biggest export market last year, but its ranking has slid to third place during the first half of the year.
The two countries' Free Trade Agreement has become effective since January this year.
Other countries, such as Japan, the Czech Republic, Kyrgyzstan and South Korea, have registered "remarkable" growth despite a smaller base.   Read more...
Russia expects 15 percent foreign tourism boost after World Cup

Businessinsider.com, July 12, 2018: The soccer World Cup has helped "destroy stereotypes" about Russia and will boost foreign tourism by 15 percent as fans head home and spread the word that they had a great time, said Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets.
The month-long tournament, which ends with the final between France and Croatia on Sunday, has so far been without major security incidents. Concerns about racism and hooligan violence that were raised in the run-up have not been borne out.

Tim Mescon is an experienced hand in the business school game. A serial b-school dean and former president of Columbus State University, he's served as executive vice president of accreditation body AACSB International for over three years.
Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Tim's only recently returned home from Kazan, Russia, where he witnessed a narrow French victory over Australia in the FIFA World Cup. But Tim wasn't only in Russia to watch soccer.

Tyumen region develops economic ties with China

En.admtyumen.ru, July 7, 2018: Foreign trade turnover between the Tyumen region and China increased by 3.5 times in the first quarter of 2018 compared with the same period of last year. It is a confirmation for the great attention the regional government pays to the development of cooperation with the neighboring state for more than 15 years now.
The two-party trade turnover for the first three months of 2018, according to the Investment Policy and Entrepreneurial State Support Department of the Tyumen region, was almost $58 million with export of $11 million (1.8 times higher than in the same period of 2017) and import of $47 million (increased by 4.5 times).
Moreover, the prospects are quite bright for this cooperation. From July 11 to 12, Tyumen prepares to host the Russian-Chinese business session.   Read more...

«Газпром» отчитался о строительстве газопровода «Турецкий поток»

Gazeta.ru, 13 июля, 2018: «Газпром» построил 66% морского участка «Турецкого потока». Об этом сообщает РИА «Новости» со ссылкой на материалы компании.
«В настоящее время по двум ниткам уложено более 1230 километров труб, что составляет 66% от общей протяженности морского участка газопровода», - заявили в «Газпроме».
Уточняется, что состоялась встреча председателя правления «Газпрома» Алексея Миллера и посла Сербии в России Славенко Терзича.

«Лукойл» вложит в месторождение Ракушечное на Каспии 500
 млрд 

News.rambler.ru, 10 июля, 2018: "Лукойл" инвестирует в месторождение Ракушечное на Каспии, ввод которого запланирован на 2021 год, около 500 млрд рублей, сообщил во вторник губернатор Астраханской области Александр Жилкин.

Всемирный банк отметил рост российской экономики

Lenta.ru, 12 июля, 2018: Всемирный банк представил обновленный рейтинг мировых экономик. Соответствующий документ опубликован на сайте организации.
Согласно статистике, экономика России в 2017 году обогнала Южную Корею, заняв 11-ю строчку рейтинга. За год российский ВВП в долларовом выражении увеличился почти на 300 миллиардов долларов, составив 1,58 триллиона. Первую строчку в сводной таблице занимают США (19,4 триллиона долларов), на втором месте оказался Китай (12,2 триллиона), замыкает тройку экономика Японии (4,9 триллиона).   Читать далее...
Россия намерена инвестировать в транспортный проект в Таджикистане

АО «Восточный Порт» установило абсолютный рекорд по перевалке угля

АО «Восточный Порт», входящее в угольный портовый холдинг ООО «Управляющая портовая компания», поставил абсолютный рекорд по перевалке угля за всю историю деятельности.
