Youth Happenings!

The youth girls had a wonderful time at camp!
The pictures below show pure joy!

Hello all and Happy July!

We have a busy month ahead of us.

In preparation for our youth-led service this month, our theme will be the Fruits of the Spirit! We are looking forward to showing you all the creative ways that we can apply the fruits to our daily lives.

On Wednesday, July 25th at 6 pm in Taylor Hall the Youth will lead a worship service on The Fruits of the Spirit. Please join us for the service and stay afterwards for an ice cream social!

Then, we will leave for Carowinds on Aug. 1st at 9 am! (There will be no youth group that evening).

Peace,
Kaitlin

Ken's daughter Kristen is on the USA North Carolina team. She took bronze medal in 100m at USA games in Seattle. She came in 5th in running long jump. More events to come.

Crisis Control Ministry

July is the month that we will be collecting FRUIT JUICES for Crisis Control Ministry. As you know, a cold glass of juice will help cool you during the heat of
the Summer. When you are in your grocery, don't get  confused  because of all the varied juices that they offer-any shape or kind is fine. We do ask for canned or packaged and not fresh because of shelf life. Think about what you would buy for your family and purchase that. Many people will be pleased and refreshed. You know where to put them-the large white box in the Education Foyer.
Please join us on  Wednesday, July 25th at 6 pm  in Taylor Hall for a Youth-led worship service. The youth will prepare sermons, art, photography, and music that will teach us about the Fruits of the Spirit. Stick around after the service for an ice cream social!  If you have a favorite homemade ice cream  that you would like to share with us, please feel free to bring it with you! We are looking forward to seeing you there!

CDL Bus Driver Needed!!!

Would you be willing to help our youth by driving them occasionally to camp or other events?

If you are under the age of 72 and willing to get a CDL to drive the bus, First Christian Church needs you!

Click here for more info about the CDL license and what you will need.

New Communion

Please continue to bring Peanut Butter and Jelly for New Communion's Mobile food Pantry.

Thanks!
Listen to Sermons Online

You can listen to Ken Massey's sermons online here: www.sermoncloud.com/firstchristian. A big thanks to Andy Askew for recording the sermon audio every Sunday!
Samaritan Ministries

The shelter has a year-round list of needs that are always appreciated. They especially have shortages of men's deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, and socks.  Food items are canned meats and #10 size canned fruits, vegetables and applesauce. Please place your items next to the white bin in the foyer outside the office or in the church office.
