This Sunday , we will worship outdoors and continue our summer sermon series, "Word," with new member Jennifer DoVale, who will share how  2 Peter 3:8-9 has been God's Word throughout her faith journey . Melanie Marsh Baum's sermon on the same text is titled, "This Is Not the End." Jennifer will also serve as the Lay Worship Leader. Join us at   10 am  on the west lawn

Music Notes:  We welcome the Moyer family as musicians for our service today. Jonathan Moyer is organist and director of music, and Kaori Hongo is director of music for children and youth. Samuel Moyer (cello) is a rising 3rd grader at Fernway Elementary School, and Christopher Moyer (guitar) is a rising 5th grader a Woodberry Elementary School.

Haven't sung your favorite hymn in a while? Here's your chance. Let us know your hymn request(s) and a possible date for your request over the remaining Sundays of July and August. You may submit up to two hymns (in order of priority). Please submit hymn titles from either our current pew hymnal or the new "Glory to God" hymnal.

Join Melanie Marsh Baum today, 5:30-6:30 pm, for session two of this video and discussion course . Classes will be held  Sundays in July from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm and repeated on Thursdays from  5:30 until 6:30 pm  in our newly renovated Dowd Commons on the lower level of the church. Join us for a time of learning and dialogue!

We pray for  Jane & Ted Adams, Judy Bourne, Akeya Clark (Marie Jones' niece), Paul Dirksen, Rob Engle, Marlene & William Finkenthal (David Finkenthal's parents), Chick Holtkamp, Craig Jones, Les Knowlton, Cathy Luck, Greg Madison, Barbara McGhee, Alex Peters, Ward Porch, Sue Salvator, Liam & Emilee Stewart (Mindy Stewart's nephew and sister), Anne Wombwell deConingh, June Tomko, and Gabriel (Jenny Conner's grand-nephew). We pray for those struggling with illness, convalescing, or homebound; the patients, family, and staff in our surrounding hospitals; and those who have placed prayer requests in our Carpenter's Box.

Our sympathies  are extended to Loren Genson and her family on the death of Loren's mother, Lise, in Buffalo on July 9 in Buffalo, NY; to the Mierke family on the death of Elizabeth on July 11 in Cleveland; and to Deni Horstman on the death of her brother Doug Horstman on July 11. 

Out of the office:  Amy Starr Redwine will be on study leave July 14-20. Mindy Stewart will be at the Montreat Youth Conference with senior high youth July 14-21. Kevin Lowry will be on vacation from July 15-23. Jonathan Moyer will be on vacation July 18-August 3.

From June 17-22, youth from Covenant and Fairmount went on a mission trip to Memphis  for a week of worship, service and fellowship! Chaperone John Marsh provided these great pictures.

Spring Music Concerts  

FRIDAY LUNCHTIME CARILLON CONCERTS
July 13,  12:15-12:45pm & Sunday, July 15, 11:00-11:30 a.m. 
George Leggiero, University Circle Carillonneur 
Bring a lunch, a lawn chair or blanket and a friend.  Pick up a program at the base of the tower or online. Attendance and parking are free . Friday concerts are repeated on Sundays at 11 am, and there are tower tours on Friday after the concerts. On Sundays, the tower is open to visitors during the concert, including to children who are accompanied by an adult.
This week: A Solemn Prelude for Carillon, Strauss' Vienna Blood Waltzes, a  French Canadian folk tune, and an 18th century keyboard sonata by Baldassare Galuppi
Friday carillon concerts continue through November 16
