CELEBRATING MILESTONES
At our Five Pillar Lecture Series last month, the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce introduced the inaugural Milestone Awards, which highlight local businesses for their invaluable service and contribution to our Fort Worth economy. Milestones are important. They are a time for reflection and analysis but they should also be a time to celebrate the lessons learned, both good and bad.

This month, on July 6th, I was fortunate to hit a professional milestone of three years with the FWHCC. And boy have I learned some lessons! In the last three years, t he most important objectives that we have accomplished were the very same ones that Larry Anfin emphasized when he took a chance on me back in 2015. He stressed an increased visibility in the community, a focus on membership and the importance of stabilizing and upgrading our internal infrastructure and technology. All were equally important and all needed immediate attention.

I'm happy to report that because of our highly successful re-branding effort, a strong and dynamic team and our constant push for partnerships and inclusion, we are just as or more visible then ever. Membership initiatives have been successful too. In three short years, we have almost doubled in size. And lastly, upgrading our technology and database has not only made us more efficient but it has made it easier to use analytics to help us better serve our members.

I would like to thank our incredible Board of Directors, talented team, dedicated Ambassadors and our amazing community for all their support and trust in some of my crazy ideas.  I would also like to thank our loyal members, both tenured and new, for entrusting me to represent your organizations and companies.

A trusted mentor would often say, "You have 5 minutes to complain/celebrate, then it's back to work!" With that in mind, it's time to get back to work. We can't stop now and we must push ahead and pursue even better results.
Membership Campaign: Seize Opportunities
