AgriBusiness State of the Agriculture Panel

Where: Marshall-Lyon County Library
In July, we will have a panel of Agriculutre experts in different areas to hear about the state of agriculture in 2018.
Joining us on the panel are:
- Becky Vogel. VP Ag/Business Banker at Bremer Bank
- Greg Boerboom. Greg along with his family are owners of Boerboom Ag Resources LLC which is the name of the family farming operation which raises hogs, corn, soybeans and does feed milling.
Greg serves as President of the Minnesota Pork Producers Association which oversees State and National legislative and public policy interests traveling to both St. Paul and Washington DC on behalf of Minnesota's pork producers. Greg is also a member of the Lyon County Farm Bureau board of directors.
- Paul Lanoue. Dean of Agriculture and Business Management at Minnesota West Community & Technical College, Farm Business Management Instructor, SMSU Ag Bowl Scholarship Coordinator, Local beef and crop farmer.
- Rep. Chris Swedzinski. Farmer and local State Representive for District 16A. He sits on Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Reform and is the chair of the subcommittee on Mining, Forestry, and Tourism.

Taste of Italy Spaghetti Dinner
|
United Way of Southwest Minnesota proudly presents the Taste of Italy Spaghetti Dinner. This 17th annual charity event will be powered through volunteers and support from U.S. Bank team members. Proceeds from this special community dinner will benefit United Way programs, initiatives and partnerships throughout southwest Minnesota.
The delicious spaghetti and meatball dinner will be prepared and served by U.S. Bank employee volunteers and will take place at the Southwest Minnesota State University Conference Center on Wednesday, August 1st from 4:30pm-7:30pm. This popular annual dinner typically draws approximately 1,000 people each year. Car side to go service for meals is available. Parking will be free in designated areas and parking assistance is available for dine in guests. This year's event will once again feature a ticket style silent auction.
Dinner tickets are on sale now at the following locations: Hy-Vee, Marshall Radio, Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Southwest Minnesota (800 East Main, Marshall) office. Tickets can be purchased online at

Chamber E-Connection Guidelines and Policies
Newsletter Goals and Audience
The purpose of the Chamber E-Connection newsletter is to share our members' events with
other business and community members. It is an informational newsletter and helps to promote
our member businesses and their events.
Each Friday, our newsletter is sent to over 1,500 individuals. Our separate emails are sent to
the same list, but are held especially for our Chamber events and Business After Hours.
Newsletter Policy
E-Connection events are included based on requests from the member business. The following criteria are requested by the Marshall Area Chamber for event submissions:
- Events flyers or submissions must be an actual event. We do not include sales or promotions.
- Events can be included in the E-Connection for 2 weeks Free of charge, and you have the option of adding one additional week for $10. 3 weeks is the max per event.

Submissions must be sent the Wednesday prior to that Friday's E-Connection to be included to [email protected]
- All event flyers are for Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce members only.
