HowHow Does Providence CSA's Veggie Share Work?

Over the season, we grow over 200 different varieties of certified organic vegetables in about 70 different categories.  Each weekend, Ryan & I walk the gardens and "build" your CSA garden share... based on what's ready to harvest, the size of your share & what we put in your box last week.

Then we send you the list of the items we chose, along with all the other items available.  (That way, you may switch out your vegetables to fit your likes and needs.   Just email what you would like to add OR changes you'd like to make us by Tuesday night, and we're all set...  But in case you forget... We will also be bringing a "switch out cooler" each Thursday that members may use to exchange items.)

2. Healthier you, healthier family!

It's hard to get 4-6 servings of antioxidant-rich veggies in a day.
We can help! Ryan & I give ourselves the same large family share we pass out each week.

Ryan& I both craft quick, simple & amazing dishes, eating most of our own food at every meal. We will be sharing our own proven recipes and CSA hacks to help you get the most out of your box.

3. CHOICE. You choose your veggies, you can put your share on hold, and you change your pick-up location.

4. Clean produce.  We not only obtain certified organic status through OEFFA each year, we are certified in Group GAP for food safety. We sanitize totes, sinks & surfaces, wear gloves or follow strict hand-washing protocols, and wash most of your produce except for items that should never be washed by us, such as strawberries. These are just a few examples of the many rules we follow to earn our GAP certification each year.
