Now that St. Francis has stocked the shelves with dental items at TOL, it is time to move on to other essential items not covered by SNAP: SOAP
(any kind of soap..clothes, faces, hands, dishes...more!)
|
Any size diapers are in high demand and much needed. |

This was sent along by Connie Hegarty. eClare is convinced this woman is Chris Ramsay's long lost relative!

The first woman to drive across the United States, Coast to Coast, 1909.
Only 152 miles of the

An invitation to all
-beginning Sunday, June 10th
We will have an opportunity for significant Adult Forum discussion regarding---
A Confession of Faith in a Time of Crisis
Presiding Bishop,
the Most Rev. Michael Curry, has joined with other faith leaders to publish a statement of faith in a time of religious and political turmoil.
From the Rev. Claudia Smith,
"My hope is that as many of us as possible will gather to begin this conversation in a series of
Adult Forums (after the 10 am worship service) beginning on June, 10
th
.
[Please note this is a change from what was announced last Sunday] I hope many of you will join me in a serious discussion about what it means to be a Christian by reclaiming the teachings of Jesus.
Faithfully,
Claudia+

On Friday, July 13th, parishioners of St. Francis will be preparing a summer supper for 65 of our
food-challenged neighbors in Sedgwick and the surrounding area.
Fruit, Cookies, and Chips are needed and your participation would be greatly appreciated. Sandwiches are all accounted for.
Please be in touch with Sue if you would like to join in this effort.

St. Francis Fair
Saturday August 11

Have you noticed something kinda bouncy about our little Fair Chair?
Officially, summer is three weeks away- but -
Mary Hartley
is on overdrive!
A "Directive" from Mary follows...
"Let's have some fun! "
"Dress-up Sunday"
Sunday Service
July the First, 10 am
Scour your jewelry box, check out your best friend's stuff!
Bejewel yourself, wear that great hat
that absolutely everyone really wants, parade your finery into church on July 1 and drop off whatever you wish in the Fair Jewelry/hat box...but only after your entrance pictures have been taken.
Question: Will the guys take the challenge to participate with their finery?
In fact, do the casual men in our church still have any finery?? Even a funky umbrella? Or homburg or belt? Or... maybe the men of St. Francis are actually medal-
decorated princes like this one!
There are wild and crazy treasures hiding in your home!
Renoir, antiques, strange looking figurines, ancient kitchen utensils, odd indescribable treasures!
Scout your house, your attic, grandma's attic, your dusty basement, your artist friends, for the original or budding Picasso.
Bring them, or wear them, to services on July 1st!
There are treasures lurking under your nose! "
