Catch the excitement of the 36th annual Snake Alley Criterium on Memorial Day weekend! The fun begins on Friday afternoon, May 25 with the Burlington Road Races. The Criterium races begin at 8:30 Saturday morning, May 26, in downtown Burlington, with the final Category 1/2/Pro race at 3:40 PM. Hundreds of athletes from around the country will compete for thousands of dollars in prizes. The popular kids' races and Cobblestone Climb will take place at noon. Tri States Public Radio Issues and Ale

Some of the deadliest mass shootings in modern U.S. history have taken place in schools, from Columbine High School in 1999 to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February. That has led school districts and law enforcement to step up efforts to protect students in school.
