100 Black Men of Madison to Receive The North Star Award
 The Northside Planning Council (NPC) will stage the North Star Award Ceremony, 5:30 p.m., 4 December at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center. At that event, the 100 Black Men of Madison will become the recipient of the Community/Neighborhood Award for efforts of Northside community development and improvement. The NPC began in 1993 with City support, and has grown into one of Madison's most successful and effective community organizations. The NPC works with diverse community leaders from 26 neighborhood business, senior, faith, school and community center groups. Citizen leaders, supported by professional capacity-building staff, assess the needs of the Northside community, develop partnerships and actively lead advocacy and organizing efforts to meet our community's goals and address issues. For 20 years, NPC has partnered with the City to transform an unorganized, socially fragmented and politically ignored community into one of Madison's most engaged, informed and best-organized communities with a strong identity and high quality of life. JR Sims, Chair of the 100 Black Men of Madison Public Relations Committee, stated, "We are humbled and flattered by this tremendous acknowledgement."

General Membership Meeting
The November General Membership Meeting of the 100 Black Men of Madison will be held 8:00 a.m., Saturday, 15 November, at the Sheraton Madison Hotel, 706 John Nolen Drive, Madison, WI 53713.
 The meeting will feature a presentation from Mr. Ronald Johnson, Coordinator, Dane County Community Justice Restorative Court.
The Dane County Community Justice Restorative Court is based on the platform of restorative justice, (RJ). RJ is an approach to justice that focuses on the needs of the victims and the offenders, as well as the involved community. Instead of satisfying abstract legal principles or punishing the offender, victims take an active role in the process, while offenders are encouraged to take responsibility for their actions, "to repair the harm they've done."

Community Recognition Jazz Brunch
 The Madison Metropolitan Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will stage their 5th Annual Scholarship and Community Recognition Luncheon, Saturday, 22 November 2014, at the Sheraton Hotel Madison, 706 John Nolen Drive, Madison, WI 53713. Community Christmas Celebration in Support of Toys for Tots
 The 4th Annual Christmas Community Celebration in Support of Toys for Tots will be held on 2 December 2014 at the Sheraton Madison Hotel, 706 John Nolen Drive, Madison, WI 53713. In the last three years, over 6,000 toys have been collected for distribution to needy area youth by the 100 Black Men of Madison. In lieu of admission fees, attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped gift worth $15 or more to donate. A Corporate Challenge will again be fused into this year's activity. The Annual Meeting of the 100 Black Men of Madison will be held from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m., Saturday, 17 January 2015 at the CUNA Mutual Conference Center, 5810 Mineral Point Road, Madison, WI 53705.
Keynote speaker for the event will be Bill Greer, President and CEO of Journey Mental Health Center.
