Recently I was having lunch with some widows from Anna's Gate. One of our ladies wanted to take a picture of Anne who is in her 80's. Kiddingly I said, "Vamp it, vamp it!" as she got ready to pose. Suddenly, our quiet and most proper widow became a movie star with her hand behind her head, chin tilted, and one shoulder shrugged! We all began to laugh with delight! Those of us that knew her from years ago when Anne first started coming to Anna's Gate recalled how shy she used to be. "What happened?" we asked her. "The real me just came out! This is how I really am inside!"
The Hebrew letter Zayin is connected to
the third month of Sivan of which we are in now. The Lord taught us that as we align with His timetable and what it represents, there are strategies for life! Each Hebrew month has a special letter associated with it which helps us position and understand what it is He has for us. In Hebrew not only do the letters have a shape and (usually) a sound like most alphabets, but it also has a numeric value and a word picture. It's an amazing language that has layer upon layer of revelation! The picture connected to Zayin is of a weapon or axe. It means "cut or to cut off". The letter Zayin begins Hebrew words that mean "time", "remember", and "remembrance". The memory of time brings about self-identity in line with our Creator. This is a month to get to know Him better and in doing so understand greater who we are! Zayin as our ax or weapon, represents the Word of God that helps us remember truth that will cut away what is false if we allow it. This is a month to allow His surgery to cut away what will hurt or hinder us, then to heal and complete so we can be what we were created to be! It is a month of Identity! It is a month to use our weapons also to see others set free and discover who they really are inside! This is what Anna's Gate is about.... giving fresh purpose in true identity!
To know who you are, take the ax and declare what God says about you! If the thoughts you have been receiving are contrary, choose truth to cut away the lie!
"I am God's child" Jn 1:12 (You are not alone or abandoned!)
"I am Jesus' friend" Jn 15:15 (He's the BEST friend ever and one whom you can trust!)
"I am valuable and bought with a price!" 1 Cor 6:19.20 (You are significant and important! Take time to discover "why" from His Word and quiet times in prayer!)
"I am forgiven" Col1:14 (Jesus paid for all your sins, just run to Him, not away!)
"I am complete in Christ" Col 2:10 (He makes up the difference! Where we are weak, He is strong!)
"I am loved and God's Idea! I have purpose and an assignment!" Eph 1; Jer 29:11 (Before He created the world, He had you in mind! He has a plan for you and it is a good one!)
"I am chosen and appointed to be fruitful!" Jn 15:16 (He wants to partner with you for success!)
"I have a unique ministry of reconciliation" 2 Cor 5:17-21 (You can help others with that which you have gone through! Nothing is wasted!)
"I hear God's voice and receive His direction!" Jn 10:27 (Ask Him to help you recognize His voice! He's talking! If it's smarter than you, it's most likely Him!)
We can discover who we really are and be who we are created to be! Use the Ax to Find your identity!
