Greater Sacramento COVID-19 Update
May 8, 2020
Good Afternoon,

During Economic Development Week, we are excited to see Governor Newsom initiate a phased reopening of the state's economy. Every step we take towards reopening gives every business a better shot at recovery. Californians have proven their ability to follow safety guidelines, including wearing masks, gloves and social distancing. City and county leaders are working with officials in the State Department of Health to execute detailed guidelines for businesses to keep their employees and customers safe, and effectively get back to work.

There will be a long road ahead for many businesses, but the Greater Sacramento region is truly the best place for businesses to recover. Meanwhile, our community collectively celebrated the importance of economic development on social media - if you have not yet had a chance to participate, I encourage you to do so - #WeAreGreaterSac.

Best,
Barry
