2018 Annual Awards Nomination Announcement

Do you know of an individual or organization that should be recognized for their unique contribution to good government or quality of life in Southern California?

If so, nominate that person or organization to receive an award from the Southern California Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) at its 70th Annual Awards Banquet and Installation Luncheon on Monday, June 4, 2018.  

 

The Annual Banquet's primary focus is recognizing individuals and organizations that have made a significant and sustained impact in the field of Public Administration in both the professional and academic realms. We want your input by nominating potential 2018 awardees by Monday, March 19, 2018.  Awardees will be selected from among the nominees by the ASPA Southern California Chapter Executive Council and must be present at the Annual Awards Banquet to be honored for their outstanding contributions to the discipline of Public Administration.

Award Descriptions: 

Tom Bradley Equal Opportunity Award:
This award is presented to an individual or organization, which has successfully promoted equal opportunity in the workplace or the community.
 
Winston Crouch Award for Innovation in Government:
This award is presented to an individual or organization, which has developed new and creative approaches to providing public services.
 
Clarence A. Dykstra Award for Excellence in Government:
This award is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the practice of public administration (emphasis on a singular significant accomplishment). 
 
Harry Scoville Award for Academic Excellence:
This award is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to public administration through teaching, research, writing and related activities. 
 
Henry Reining Outstanding Organization Award:
This award is presented to an organization whose accomplishments have significantly contributed to good government or improved quality of life in the Southern California area.
 
Earl Warren Outstanding Public Service Award:
This award is presented to a civic leader who has made an outstanding, sustained contribution to good government in the Southern California area.
 
Will Baughman Chapter Development Award:
This award is presented to a member who has made a significant or sustained contribution to the Southern California Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration.
