Libraries Rock! Summer Reading is Here!

We're drumming up excitement for Summer Reading Programs this year (literally) by throwing a drum and dance party on the lawn of the Middleborough Historical Museum, 18 Jackson St., behind the police station and near Pierce Playground.  We're inviting patrons of all ages to join us at 1:00 p.m. on Sat., June 16 for a participatory concert featuring Cape Cod African Dance & Drum. (The event will be held, rain or shine, as it will be tented.)

Then, at 2:00 p.m., we hope you'll find your way to the Library after the concert to have a celebratory ice cream sundae and sign up for Summer Reading.  Any child, teen, or adult who registers on kickoff day will be  automatically entered in a raffle to win one of six $10 Dunkin' Donuts gift cards.

The Summer Reading Program Kickoff event is supported through the generosity of the Wilfred M. Silvia Trust, the Friends of the Middleborough Public Library, and Dunkin' Donuts of Middleborough.

As always, there will be Summer Reading Programs for all ages, including children, teens and adults. Prizes for reading and participating in a variety of library activities will be awarded for all ages. Online and in-person registration for "Libraries Rock!" opens Sat., June 16, and programs run through Thurs., August 30, 2018.
