Celebrate National Oyster Day!

Tomorrow, August 5 is National Oyster Day and chef Jos� is celebrating with two oyster specials for that evening only: Oyster Gratin�e ($15) and Oysters Mignonette ($15). We are pleased to suggest the perfect wine to pair and toast this holiday: the Scharffenberger Brut! ($12 per glass.) People have enjoyed eating oysters since prehistoric times and it was rumored that Casanova had a breakfast of 50 oysters every morning. In the 21st century, a love of oysters is still going strong with over two billion oysters consumed every year! So join us in celebrating one of the nation's favorite bivalves.


Julia Child Birthday Tribute

On Aug. 15, 1994, chef Jos� prepared dinner for Julia Child on her 82nd birthday at Chez Philippe in the Peabody Hotel. Now, 20 years later on what would be Julia's 102nd birthday, chef Jos� is once again paying tribute with a three-course special featuring some of her most famous dishes! During evening hours on Friday, Aug. 15, we are offering a special menu in honor of Julia for $35, plus tax and gratuity.
