Basic life support will cover CPR for adults, infants, and children, as well as the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in accordance with AHA guidelines. Core material covered will be: adult, child, and infant CPR, ventilations with a barrier device, 1 and 2 rescuer techniques, use of the bag-valve-mask, automated external defibrillation (AED), and aid for choking victims. Students completing this course will qualify for a two-year certification. Face coverings are required on campus.
