Grandparents' Reading Day
Friday, October 25th

Attention 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade Families!

Jefferson's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classes will visit the Atrium for some special reading time with our Grandparent guests.

1st grade - 1:30 - 2:00pm
2nd grade - 2:00 - 2:30pm
3rd grade - 2:30 - 3:00pm

If Grandparents are not available to attend, please feel free to invite your favorite Aunt, Uncle or family member. We ask that you RSVP by October 16th, so the office will have a list of expected visitors.

We also need volunteers to help make this event a success. We need help with set up, sign in, snacks, and clean up.  If you'd like to help or donate snacks, sign up  here.
Art in the Classroom

Our goal is to provide an art history program that offers Jefferson School students a snapshot of prominent works of art by a wide range of famous artists.

You do NOT need to know anything particular about art, as all the materials, lessons and project ideas are provided for you.

The kids really love this program, but we need to secure volunteers for each grade and classroom in order to make it a success!!

With gratitude, Your Jefferson School AIC co-chairpersons,
Kristin Lester ( [email protected] ) and
Jenny Chismark ( [email protected] )

Box Tops

This year, the Box Tops program has started an electronic system that allows you to download their app and simply scan your receipt to earn Jefferson money - it's that easy!

However, if you still find cardboard Box Tops on your grocery store purchases, please feel free to cut them out and send them in as we are continuing to collect those, too.

Each class in our school will have a running record for the amount of Box Tops collected, and at the end of the year the class with the most Box Tops will have a party so start collecting now.

Questions, feel free to contact our Box Tops committee chair person
Justina Porras at [email protected]  or the pto at [email protected]
Materials Needed!

Mrs. Yospin needs our help!
Please save your paper towel rolls for an upcoming sculpture unit. Ms. B will be collecting and storing them while Mrs. Yospin is on leave.
