JANUARY 2021
MONEY MOMENT
Welcome to a brand new year! Is this the year you are going to take control of your finances?

The Pyramid Approach to Financial Health series is designed to help people understand the basic building blocks of sound financial management and take the steps you need to follow to build success. The bottom rungs create a strong secure foundation for building financial stability and wealth accumulation – cash and credit management. The top building blocks of home stability, estate and financial planning, and asset protection each rely upon the strength and stability of the personal finance strategies used in the blocks below them.

Our vision is that in today’s busy world, participants can view the videos at a time that is most convenient for them and can select the topics that are of most interest to them. The videos provide a brief overview of the financial topics and do not replace the full financial workshops provided by Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Become educated about your finances
12 Steps of Financial Planning
Series starts TODAY!

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County is now offering the Roadmap to Financial Success series to the public. This online series offers a new segment on the 15th of each month and can be followed along at your own pace.

Each monthly financial session will concentrate on such topics as paperwork management, preparing for taxes, investments, insurances, retirement, legal documents, budgets and more.

Each segment will provide video, newsletters and checklists. You will be able to work through the items at your own pace for a small charge per month.

Master Money Mentors now available to the public
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County has a new financial program that can lend a helping hand with your financial challenges. They have trained Master Money Mentors ready to work with you one-on-one either in person, via zoom, or by telephone. The program is free to the public.

Maybe you've tried everything, but still can't pay your bills on time, or maybe you’ve experienced a job loss, illness, or divorce. Maybe you feel like your life is spinning out of control from overuse of credit. Whatever the reason for your financial concerns, it might be time to speak to a Master Money Mentor to help you put together a plan to pay off your debt and make positive financial decisions.
