whose mission is to provide the organizing, fundraising, and coordinating efforts to build a memorial and museum that commemorates America’s Fallen Warriors during the War on Terror.

Wreaths Across America
The American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation is teaming up with Wreaths Across America for our 2nd time to help honor our fallen warriors by placing wreaths at the headstones of over 200 veterans buried at Resurrection Cemetery. The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 at 5:00pm. If you are in the Lenexa area on December 16th, we welcome you to join us.
The American Fallen Warrior Virtual Memorial will allow participants to learn, understand and experience the many stories of the fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Users of the virtual memorial will also be able to upload pictures, videos, awards, and letters about a service member that celebrates their life and tells their story. Each can leave comments and recognize the fallen through virtual wreaths, coins and other means of recognition and honor.
Unlike other memorials, this virtual memorial starts the journey with the fallen warriors themselves. Not just the warrior, but also the person. Not the battles or campaigns, but where they started and our shared common bond growing up and living in our collective communities and nation. Who they were before their service and their motivation to join and defend our freedom. Participants can then share how their warrior’s service and challenges on the battlefield made our nation a safer place to help viewers understand the significant of their sacrifice for all of us.

What has the American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation been up to?
Ride2Remember2020
On Sunday, September 20th, 2020, we teamed up with American Legion Post 370 in Overland Park, KS to hold our annual Ride2Remember motorcycle event. We had a total of 85 riders come out to join us in remembrance of our fallen warriors. Afterwards lunch and a silent auction was held at the American Legion Post.
On September 25th, 2020, our Fallen Warrior Memorial Team attended the Gold Star Family Memorial Dedication in Olathe, Kansas. We were honored to be invited and to celebrate the remembrance of those who fell protecting and serving our nation. During the visit we talked with a number of Gold Star Families about the Virtual Memorial and received many great ideas that we will take back to the development team as we ready the prototype for May 2021.
