It's time for the hustle and bustle of the holiday season! There's always a lot to do, but don't forget to take care of yourself, too. That might mean getting together with friends or family, scheduling some down time to recharge your internal batteries, or visiting the library to pick up some books, movies, board games, puzzles or anything else that you need to refresh your brain. Hey, we even have a light therapy box that you can check out and try at home and see if it helps you feel a little less stressed during our darkest time of year.
Don't forget that the Mercer Library is now completely fine-free. As long as you return your materials, we won't hold your busy schedule against you by charging you late fees. We've also just implemented a "Lucky Day" collection of popular movies. Thanks to support from the Friends of the Library, we're purchasing extra copies of our most popular titles and keeping them here on a first-come, first-served basis. Stop by and see what's on the shelf - it might be your "Lucky Day!"
As always, the best way to support your library is to use it. See you at the library!

A Very Mercer holiday
Once again we've invited our local organizations and agencies to help deck the library halls and spread the word about what they do for our community. Our "Very Mercer Holiday" wreath exhibit was a hit last year, and we hope that our local groups will participate again this year.
If you're part of a service agency, nonprofit group or club in the Mercer area, you're welcome to participate by bringing in a decorated 24" or smaller wreath for us to display. For more information, call the library at 715-476-2366 for details.
Stop by later this month to take a look at the display and learn about the many agencies and volunteers that make Mercer better!

Amazon Smile
We always encourage our library patrons to support local businesses whenever they can. Small business owners keep the northwoods running, after all! Check out some of the
great local shops here in Mercer
for your holiday shopping.
If you're also going to do some online shopping, might I suggest that you try Amazon Smile? Designate the Friends of the Mercer Public Library as your preferred charity, and then whenever you shop at Amazon Smile a portion of your sale will be donated to the library at no extra cost to you. Visit
smile.amazon.com/ch/39-2041586
to get started.
