The Government of Saskatchewan has amended the legislation governing non-profit organizations to allow them to hold virtual annual general meetings.
The government has changed
The Non-profit Corporations Regulations, 1997
to allow AGMs by telephone, video conference or other electronic means that allow members to communicate adequately with each other during the meeting.
Meetings are still required to meet the other requirements of the legislation, and you should ensure your organization’s bylaws do not prohibit you from holding a virtual AGM.
If you have any questions about your AGM, please contact your Sport Consultant.
