Engaging Internationally at Camp Piankatank
Camp Piankatank staff members are busy making final preparations for the summer and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of campers, some of whom will be coming from South Korea and China! The first summer missionary from South Korea came in 2015, and that went so well that more summer missionaries plus campers came in the following years. This year, camp staff are expecting four summer missionaries and over 20 campers!
Camp Director Steve Gourley writes, "We are so excited to see how much more God is going to be growing our camp, both locally and internationally."

Preaching with Passion: A Preaching Workshop
Presented by the Valley and Central regions of the BGAV
"Preaching with Passion" will take place July 12 at First Baptist Church, Waynesboro, VA, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. This preaching workshop is designed to awaken our passion for the Gospel and the immediacy of God's active presence as communicated through scripture. Whether you're a beginning speaker or have preached for years, this workshop can empower you for more dynamic preaching of the Gospel and greater ability to communicate the exciting message of God's Word. Our workshop leader will be Dr. Ervin R. Stutzman.
The cost for the workshop is $10 per person, with lunch included.
Save the Date for the 2019 Virginia Baptist Handbell Festival - February 8-9, 2019, in Glen Allen, VA
The 2019 Virginia Baptist Handbell Festival will be held in one location this year so that all choirs can enjoy the leadership of David Harris - Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Glen Allen, VA. The festival is open to both 2-3 and 3-5 octave handbell choirs and will begin on Friday evening, concluding around noon on Saturday. All groups will play together in mass ringing. The church will be open on Friday afternoon for setup.
Space is limited, so be sure to register early!

Campbell University Divinity School Ministers' Health Summit 2018 on June 7
Join us June 7 for the Ministers' Health Summit - a one-day retreat that promotes wellness, self-care and education for ministers, and offers ideas to promote healthy lifestyle habits for the people they serve. Topics will be presented in one large group keynote session and two interactive breakout sessions. Free health screenings will be offered throughout the day, and breakfast and lunch will be served.
